Statement in response of the news reports of the Daily Star, Dhaka, Bangladesh and Indopia, India
We are seriously concerned to the news reports of the Daily Star, Dhaka, Bangladesh and indopia, India on May 19, 2009 and other news media of Bangladesh that Rohingya Rebels trained GMB men, Investigators glean it from Boma Mizan that HUJI too received training from RSO, that JMB leader discloses link with Myanmarese insurgent group that they had confessed to have alleged links with Rohingya Rebels of Myanmar, the Rohingya Solidarity Organization RSO and that they are his main source of arms and training.
We, Rohingya Solidarity Organization RSO are categorically and strongly denying these baseless and groundless reposts. We have no any kind of link with the Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) and Harkatul Jihadil Islami (HUJI) Bangladesh or any one of its accomplices. We are doubtful about the attitudes of these news media for publishing this kind of malicious reports which represent nothing but lies.
After September incident in America, Myanmar military junta and many other quarters have tried to tag us many labels but, did not succeed. Fabrication and falsehood could not bear fruits. We, Rohingya Solidarity Organization RSO is breaking our silence not because we fear these false reports, but because there is a saying which quotes "many lies become likely true".
Bangladesh is our immediate neighbor and one of our main host countries. Part of our ill-fated Rohingyas who had been evicted from their home country Arakan state Myanmar are living in Bangladesh. Entire Rohingya communities always express thanks and gratitude to all host countries, international organizations and individuals which help and sympathize our miseries. In this state of indescribable condition, no one will commit such a stupidity to act against their host.
It is one of the praise-worthy attitudes of our past and present leaders that they internationally stay far away from this kind of games and groups.
The struggle of our Rohingya is very clear and it is not to harm any government or individuals. What we do is for our own salvation. As we deserve the right to serve our destitute community, RSO is representing the cause of Rohingyas with all organizations of multiracial and multi-cultural nationalities of the Union of Myanmar to bring federal form of democracy where multi-linguistic ethnic nationalities of the Union could be able to enjoy full democratic right, with peaceful co-existence and mutual respects.
Therefore, we urge upon all media groups to do justice to the plight of Rohingya, and we appeal to the Bangladesh government and democratic people of Bangladesh to seek all possible ways for the permanent solution of the Rohingya problems.
