Dr. Kyi May Kaung addresses Senator Webb
This is a letter to Senator Webb, expressing disappointment on Wednesday's Congressional US Policy Hearing, from a respected friend, Dr Kyi May Kaung. To many of you, she may require no introduction - but to the rest of you, read on and you will learn.
The Rohingya situation goes back to many decades. It's sad the government refuses to recognise them, it is sad loving Burmese and Buddhists deny them their right to belong where they were born. Any Humanitarian Aid collected for the Rohingya needs to be monitored to make sure the Rohs get the aid, in the past they did not get it.

Xenophobic Than Shwe regime, his propagandists and vanguards
By Habib Siddiqui
Khin Maung Saw's thesis on trying to de-legitimatize the Rohingya history in Arakan is not new. For the last three years, as an obsessed, xenophobic Rakhine, much given to pen-pushing, and spread of hateful messages, he is known for trying his best to re-write history that would obliterate Rohingya's historicity in today's Arakan. His pseudo-history has been already refuted by others.

Alteasean February 2009 Burma Bulletin
SPDC sabotages ASEAN Summit. ASEAN leaders: decide to deport Rohingya - if they really exist; adopt a draft of toothless procedures for ASEAN’s human rights body; and allow the junta to hijack meaningful dialogue with civil society organizations.

Color me pretty Burmese...!
I see I see true colours…

I see I see how white make some blind
I see I see racism in many
I see I see a sad opportunist group
They are Burmese in need of help
The blessed ones would be the colored Rohingya
God protects the Rohingya
Let the sad groupy to be looked after
by handsome Than Shwe

Rohingya, Tha Shwe and Burmese racism
For years we have known who and what Than Shwe is. I read so many tags about him and his junta that I lost count already.

We strongly protest and condemn SPDC for its lie in ‘New Light of Myanmar’ dated 29th January 2009 - “Rohinja is not included in over 100 national races of the Union of Myanmar”. This is an evil design to deny us of our rights, and we rebut as follows:

Burmese junta denies rights to exist
Is there a holistic approach to Burma’s refugee problem?
With the Rohingya boat people washing up almost daily on Thai shores, it is appropriate and as well, a welcome initiative for the Thai government to call for a conference, involving and consulting all concerned countries, including Burma, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia and India to find durable solutions. In other words, applying a holistic or comprehensive approach, like an opinion piece on 26 January of The Nation rightly pointed out.
