Outlawed to be Burmese

Love loops around
Born to happy smiles
Pride twinkles adoringly

First steps taken
Lots to see
Lots to learn
Lots to feel

Lights shine out there
Deceitful curiosity
Outlawed to go there

They carry stuff
They are books
They are pencils
They are toys
Outlawed to enjoy those

They come
They take mum
They take dad
Buried alive

Tears
Streams of tears
All alone
No-one to talk
No-one to smile
Outlawed to live

Hunted as a dog
Tired of running
Where is home?

I remember
I was born in BURMA
Outlawed to live in my home
Outlawed to live in BURMA
Outlawed to exist

I’m a Rohingya blood
I’m a human being
I’m a Burmese born
